About ABA Therapy
What is ABA therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically validated therapy for children with autism. It focuses on improving specific behaviors — communication, social skills, daily living, and reducing behaviors that interfere with learning — using evidence-based techniques. ABA is endorsed by the U.S. Surgeon General and the American Psychological Association.
How do I know if my child needs ABA therapy?
If your child has received an autism diagnosis, or if you are noticing challenges with communication, social interaction, or behavior, ABA therapy may help. You know your child best — if something feels like it needs support, trust that instinct. We recommend starting with a free consultation so our team can learn about your child's individual needs and discuss whether ABA is the right fit.
How long does ABA therapy last?
Every child is different. Most children receive ABA therapy for 1–3 years, depending on their goals and rate of progress. Our Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) designs a fully individualized plan and monitors progress at regular intervals, adjusting the program as your child grows and achieves their goals.
What age can children start ABA therapy?
Early intervention is most effective, and research consistently shows better outcomes when therapy begins early. We serve clients from 18 months through 18 years, including life skills therapy for older kids and teens. The earlier therapy begins, the stronger the long-term outcomes typically are — but it is never too late to seek support.
Is ABA therapy done in a clinic or at home?
We specialize in in-home ABA therapy — delivered in your child's most natural environment where learning generalizes fastest. Children practice skills right where they live, which leads to more durable and meaningful progress. Center-based therapy is coming soon for families who prefer that setting.

Getting Started
How do I get started?
Getting started is simple. Complete our online intake form or call us at 214-361-3551. We will reach out within one business day to discuss your child's needs, verify your insurance at no cost to you, and schedule your free consultation. There is no obligation at any step.
What happens at the free initial consultation?
Our clinical team will review your child's diagnosis, discuss your family's goals, answer every question you have, and outline what an individualized therapy program would look like. This is a relaxed, family-centered conversation — not an evaluation or assessment. There is absolutely no obligation, and you can take as much time as you need.
How long does the intake process take?
Typically 1–2 weeks from initial contact to start of services. We move as quickly as the process allows — we know families are eager to begin, and we share that urgency. The timeline can depend on insurance authorization requirements, which we handle entirely on your behalf.
Do I need a referral from a doctor?
No referral is needed to contact us or schedule your consultation. However, most insurance plans require a physician's order or referral to authorize ABA therapy. We will guide you through exactly what your specific insurance plan requires — and help you get it in place efficiently.

Insurance & Cost
Does insurance cover ABA therapy?
Yes — most major insurance plans are required by law to cover ABA therapy for autism. We accept Aetna, Cigna, PHCS/Multiplan, First Health Network, Baylor Scott & White, Meritain Health, and more. Visit our Insurance page for the full list and to learn how coverage works.
How does insurance verification work?
We verify your insurance at absolutely no cost to your family. Simply contact us with your insurance card and we handle everything — checking your coverage, authorization requirements, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs. We believe families should focus on their children, not paperwork.
What if I don't have insurance?
Please contact us directly and we will have an honest conversation about your options. We are genuinely committed to finding a path to services for every family, and we will do our best to work with your situation.
How much does ABA therapy cost without insurance?
Costs vary depending on the number of hours and services involved in your child's individualized plan. We encourage you to call us or submit an intake form so we can have a real conversation about your specific situation and explore every available option together.

Our Approach
What makes Ultimate Caring ABA different?
Three things set us apart:
- We treat the whole family — alongside ABA therapy, we also offer family counseling as a separate service for parents, siblings, and caregivers.
- 19+ years of healthcare infrastructure — we are built on a proven clinical and operational foundation, not a startup finding its way.
- Partners in Healthcare — our BCBAs are invested in your child's long-term success, not just session counts.
What is the whole-family counseling approach?
We offer dedicated family counseling through our Licensed Professional Counselor as a separate service available to every client family. Because raising a child with autism affects parents, siblings, and caregivers too — and the whole family deserves support. This is a separate service from ABA therapy and is billed accordingly.
How do you coordinate with my child's school?
We collaborate directly with your child's IEP team, ARD committee, and educators. Our BCBA aligns therapy goals across home and school environments to create maximum consistency for your child. When learning happens the same way at home and at school, skills stick much more effectively.
Who supervises my child's therapy?
Every therapy plan is designed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Day-to-day session implementation is carried out by trained Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) under direct BCBA supervision. You will always know who is working with your child and why.
